Paging Unlimited works closely with E911 to make all the changes painless. Paging Unlimited requires no change in procedure from the dispatcher. However they will be provided with a new paging number. They will dispatch the same as they always have. Changing the number is a simple procedure and only requires a written request to be sent. We take care of this for you to make it as simple and painless as possible.

Although our paging system is very user friendly, following are some frequently asked questions.

How do you differ from other series?

Our focus is on alerting your members to an emergency rather than just showing you who is coming. Although we do show you each members response, we feel it is most important to get the message to as many members as we can. This is where we shine. Daily we hear departments tell us how much better their turn out is. Many are experiencing their turn outs going from a couple members to all but a couple members! Remember, you members want to attend, but if they don’t know about it, they can’t show up!

Will old Paging systems work?

Yes! We do not change anything in regards to your paging site. Everything stays intact and we integrate seamlessly with your existing system. There is no need to change anything! We also add redundancy to your old paging site so if your paging site is down you will still receive our pages!

What is Call Blasting?

Call blasting is our method of alerting your members via phone or cell phone. Our system places a call to each of your members and after announcing itself, plays the full 911 dispatch message to them in full.

How do you provide location information?

Location information is provided to us directly from 911. It is not always 100% accurate but it is another tool you can use to help you find those difficult to find scenes.

Do I still need my pager?

We recommend that you keep your pager and use it as you always have. This will give you the best of both worlds. Your pager will still work as normal. You might not wake up when your phone rings but you can’t sleep through a pager squeal! When you are out of paging range or you can not carry a pager, you can rely on Paging Unlimited to get the job done. Paging Unlimited takes you far beyond the limitations of your conventional paging system. How you use it is entirely up to you. We have many members who can’t wear pagers and they rely solely on Paging Unlimited’s phone calls and texts with tremendous success.

How can I tell pages from phone calls or text messaging?

Most phones allow you to customize ringers and alerts for individuals. Paging unlimited always send from the same numbers. All you need to do is add us to your contact list and add a custom ring tone and SMS alert. Some phones such as Androids will require a free third party app for this.
